A new fragrance for men

Today I have diced to devote my day to creation of men’s fragrance packaging.

I have combined Adobe Illustrator where I have created the bottle and finished it in Adobe Photoshop. I wanted to create something quite bright and colourful , something easily attracting attention.

I am still around the simple shape of honey comb as I have in mind creating something around the same range.

I know it is still bit cheesy, but I will expand the original idea and create something more elaborate.

I am not sure if anybody would buy such fragrance, but I tried as much as I could to make it attractive.

The last comes the magazine.

Above you can see advert I have create for a magazine or newspaper or something like that.

The photo is from pexels.com contact for photographer is written below.

FreshFruit Box

For this post I stayed with healthy theme again. I have done FreshFruit box. It is in the same style as the previus, vintage look. I am planning to do the whole branding project based on these boxes.

First some history

The first organic box scheme was created by Guy Watson in 1987, who delivered fresh produce locally from Riverford farm. These schemes are usually operated by the grower or a small cooperative. There are approximately 600 such schemes operating in the UK and by early 2007, according to the Soil Association, retail sales via such schemes were in excess of £100 million per annul.

Many schemes are run on a local or regional basis, delivering food direct from the producer to the consumer. Other schemes offer a nationwide delivery, with produce supplied by a network of growers, co-operatives and wholesalers negating the local affiliation of these schemes. Some British have also some supermarkets begun offering vegetable boxes

Prague panorama

I was in Prague this week, visiting my family. I love that city so much. I know the weather wasn’t warm yet and there isn’t much green too, but nothing is stopping my from taking photographs and etc.

I have done this panorama just to please my heart. I know the gif is not perfect, but I couldn’t help it.

I have to admit I haven’t done the the drawing myself, but copied it from the internet.

The artist is well known his name is Richard Williams.

I mean there are loads of gifs around which are free to download such as below.

Valentine’s Cocktail Party Poster

The most popular theory about Valentine’s Day’s origin is that Emperor Claudius II didn’t want Roman men to marry during wartime. Bishop Valentine went against his wishes and performed secret weddings. For this, Valentine was jailed and executed. While in jail he wrote a note to the jailor’s daugter signing it “from your Valentine”.

I have decided to continue with the Valentine’s theme. I have created these Cocktail Party posters to offer an option and practice my Adobe Illustrator skills.

I wanted to create something as cute as possible.

Or you could pop over to Finland where Valentine’s Day is called Ystävänpäivä, which translates into “Friend’s day”. It’s more about remembering your buddies than your loved ones.

Some interesting facts about St Valentine’s day

In Victorian times it was considered bad luck to sign a Valentine’s Day card. I would be annoyed if my cards was anonymous.

Based on retail statistics, about 3 per cent of pet owners will give gifts to their pets on this day. That is funny one.

About 1 billion Valentine’s Day cards are exchanged each year. This makes it the second largest seasonal card sending time of the year

If you’re single don’t despair. You can celebrate Singles Awareness Day (SAD) instead. That certainly helps.

Meant as an alternative to Valentine’s Day, the holiday is for single people to celebrate or to commiserate in their single status.

Valentine’s Party Poster

For this post I have decided to create a Valentine’s Party poster. I did some research and this designs are what I have cup with.

This celebration of mad shopping happens every year and I can’t say I like it, but it can be sweet.

I haven’t written the text below so I can’t take a credit for it, but never the less it was interesting read.

Who was St Valentine?

The day gets its name from a famous saint, but there are several stories of who he was.

The popular belief about St Valentine is that he was a priest from Rome in the third century AD.

PAThis is the oldest known Valentine’s Day message in English. It was written in 1477

Emperor Claudius II had banned marriage because he thought married men were bad soldiers. Valentine felt this was unfair, so he broke the rules and arranged marriages in secret.

When Claudius found out, Valentine was thrown in jail and sentenced to death.

There, he fell in love with the jailer’s daughter and when he was taken to be killed on 14 February he sent her a love letter signed “from your Valentine”.

How did Valentine’s Day start?

The first Valentine’s Day was in the year 496!

Having a particular Valentine’s Day is a very old tradition, thought to have originated from a Roman festival.

The Romans had a festival called Lupercalia in the middle of February – officially the start of their springtime.

It’s thought that as part of the celebrations, boys drew names of girls from a box. They’d be boyfriend and girlfriend during the festival and sometimes they’d get married.

Later on, the church wanted to turn this festival into a Christian celebration and decided to use it to remember St Valentine too.

Gradually, St Valentine’s name started to be used by people to express their feelings to those they loved.
